Professional Edition

The Professional Edition is available as either an on-demand application or a distributed version. Please see the notes below for each version. Please note that the pricing for each version is exclusive to that version. In other words, if you purchase the on-demand version, you do NOT have to pay any of the fees listed for the distributed version, and vice versa.

On-Demand Version

The on-demand version of the Professional Edition contains all of the powerful features of our extremely popular e-Classifieds Standard Edition, but it also adds the ability to charge users for posting or renewing ads via their credit cards and to process these credit card payments through third party payment processors such as PayPal or Clickbank. The e-Classifieds Professional Edition is the least expensive version of e-Classifieds to include some type of credit card processing capabilities. In addition, the on-demand version of the Professional Edition also adds the ability for users to upload and include multiple photos with each of their ads. Finally, it includes a few interface tweaks that enhance its appearance as compared to that of the e-Classifieds Standard Edition.

Distributed Version

The distributed version of the e-Classifieds Professional Edition is our lowest priced version that contains multiple databases, as well as sophisticated database search features. For example, a user could search for apartments with between one and three bedrooms, that have at least 1.5 bathrooms, that are located in a certain city, that have monthly rents within a specific price range, and that have specific amenities such as a fireplace, microwave, etc. Just like the Standard Edition, the Professional Edition can run on both Unix and Windows NT/2000, and it uses our sophisticated Secure Logon system that allows users to logon once and have the program "remember" them from screen to screen so that they don't have to login again. It also adds a sophisticated short results ad table format that allows your users to instantly resort their search results on the fly, and it includes a nice navigation bar that allows your users to easily jump to other groups of results (instead of always having to click on the "Next" button). This bar even helps your users by "remembering" which groups they have already seen. Users can include photos with their ads by linking to them if these photos are stored elsewhere on the Web. The administrator can perform certain functions from the web interface, such as modifying or deleting user ads, although some of our other versions contain more sophisticated administrative tools. If you need a relatively inexpensive solution that contains more robust administrative features and certain other features, and if you don't need the scalability and sophisticated search functions that the Professional Edition's multiple database structure provides, you may also want to look at our Standard Edition or the on-demand version of the Professional Edition. However, if you need the sophisticated database search features, then the distributed version of the Professional Edition is our lowest cost version with these features. If you need all of the above, then you may want to look at our Commerce Edition, Premium Edition, or Corporate Edition, as all of these versions include all of these features plus many additional features.
