System Requirements

All of the e-Classifieds programs are written in Perl. All versions can be installed on either Unix web servers or Windows NT web servers. The server must have Perl 5 installed and functioning properly, although this is usually not an issue, as virtually all modern web servers already have Perl 5 installed. You also must have the rights to upload files to your server using FTP or some other method, and you must have the rights to run your own CGI programs on the server. Most web hosting companies allow this, so if yours doesn't, you should ask them to allow this or switch to another web hosting company that does. Some versions may also require specific Perl modules to use certain optional features.
